Tour summary

Spending more time at home under new normal, many of you may have started your own vegetable garden or may be interested to start farming.

In this plan, you will experience and learn about farming and local life from young ladies engaged in farming in Miyama. The location is “Sightseeing Farmland Ewa Land” approximately 4.5 km east of Miyama’s thatched village. The best recommended plan for those who are wondering questions such as “I’d like to farm, but I don’t know where to start” or “What fertilizer should I use and how much?” Not only young ladies, but also guys are also more than welcome if you are interested in farming.

You’ll be staying at log-house style cottage within the Sightseeing Farmland Ewa Land premises. Enjoy birds and insects singing from spring to autumn. In winter, cracking sound of wood buring makes warm your body and heart. Throughout the year, you can enjoy stars in the sky on clear nights.

BBQ of local chicken and Japanese beef for dinner.  Meat slowly grilled over charcoal is tasty.

Escape from hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy rural life style  such as cultivating soil,  growing vegetables, chopping firewoods etc… Those activities should enrich your entire life.

Ewa Land Staff

Staff in Ewa Land are also young local residents in Miyama.  They welcome you and tell you how farming is fascinating as well as their rural life in Miyama.   Feel free to ask them any questions such as recommended crops for beginners, any difficulties in farming they experience etc.
